I’m Kelly V. Song. I received my B.F.A in Graphic Design and a minor in package design from SCAD, also known as Savannah College of Art & Design.
I’m orginally from Atlanta, GA but due to my father job I moved around during my childhood. Ever since I can remember I was raised in Cupertino, CA and lived there for 19 years. At the end of 2020 we moved to San Diego, CA. In mid-July 2023 I moved to San Bruno, CA where I now reside.
Ever since I was little, art has always played an important role in my life. Moving around during the first seven years of my life and the events that took place is a way for me to express my feelings. Over the course of nine years I strayed away from art. The turning point that solidfied my decision to pursue graphic design and become a visual communicator was a combination of a graphic design class and printmaking class that I took my local community college. From then on I knew that I wanted to become a visual communicator and express the clients feelings through compelling designs that are well thought-out and reflects the clients concepts.
Although my major is graphic design, I plan to extend my work through other medias as well. I want to pursue a career that involves package design, book design, web design, and illustration. There are two things that I always had a deep appreciation and love for building things with my hands, digitally using CAD, and screenwriting/ scripting.  I want to work for a company where I can put my skills that I have gained and work alongside the other industries that I enjoy doing in hopes that one day my skills can be appreciated and put it to good use.
When I am not designing, you will find me usually listening music; jpop, pop, and music from Studio Ghibli movies, playing my nintendo switch, drawing, and my favorite pass time is screenwriting/ scripting which I have been doing since I was in 9th grade.
